The date, time and venue of the presentation will be announced along with the final schedule at the earliest possible.
Each presenter has been allocated 10-12 minutes on the programme schedule, including 2-3 minutes for questions and discussions. Please make sure you are aware of the running time of your presentation. AsiaPLAT 2024 has multiple streams running so we must keep them all aligned in terms of timings. The timings will be strictly followed.
All sessions will have a chairperson, who will introduce presenters and facilitate the smooth and timely running of the session. The key roles of the chairperson will be to introduce each individual speaker’s name and affiliation and ensure that the session runs on time.
To ensure that the conference runs as scheduled, we ask speakers to keep to the time allocated for their slot strictly. The chairperson will inform you of the time remaining in your slot as it elapses and bring the session to a close once your allotted time has ended.
Please note that an internet connection will not be available for presenters to run your presentations. Please upload your presentation using the link <Oral Presentations Upload> by 20 July 2024 11.00 pm. Please keep your PPT file name as <abstractcode_corresponding author name> (eg: A999_Tom)
All presentations must be in 16:9 ratio – widescreen PowerPoint size. Slides presented in other sizes may appear stretched on the screen. You can change the slide size in PowerPoint by clicking on the ‘Design’ tab, then clicking on ‘slide size’ in the navigation bar, and then selecting the widescreen option.
You can use your own template for presentation, but ensure the following:
-Keep number of slides minimum (12-15 slides), including title and reference slides
- ensure that the title slide has - title of presentation, name and affiliation of all contributors, your institution’s logo and mention Asia PLAT conference 2024.
-Please follow APA 7the edition for referencing and formatting
Only paper tiles and names of the authors who have registered will appear on the final schedule.

sessions.
Please find below guidelines for the oral presenters
Poster presenters will have the opportunity to discuss their research with interested attendees during assigned poster sessions.
Authors present their posters using a visual medium with key excerpts from the papers displayed in vertical orientation with the poster size to the nearest 27x36 inches. Poster presentations should incorporate illustrative materials such as tables, graphs, photographs, and large-print text, and materials should be clearly readable from a distance of three feet . The poster submission form accepts plain text only, but you should incorporate illustrative materials such as tables, graphs, photographs, large-print text, and materials in your final poster presentation.
No audio visual equipment can be used. Computer display equipment, sound or projection equipment, or freestanding displays are not permitted.
Presenters will be assigned a specific time slot and numbered space for their poster presentation. Authors need to carry their posters to the conference venue and mount at the designated venues. The organisers will not arrange for printing. The conference staff will provide stands for the posters and push pins for mounting posters.
With any poster submission, you must explain the rationale, theoretical and/or applied significance of results (or predicted results), and general principles. State whether the research is exploratory or confirmatory. It is not acceptable to say, “The results will be discussed.”
All posters must be set up in the time allotted before the session, and must remain up until the session ends. Presenters are to remain by their poster during the entire time of the assigned session time, to answer questions and be evaluated by poster judges. After the session ends, posters and materials should be promptly removed and the area cleaned up.
Kindly print the poster in biodegradable material (paper, not plastic) and ensure that the poster is in portrait and not landscape
Text and presentation should be in english only and follow APA 7 guidelines for referencing and formatting.
An individual may be a first author on only one (1) poster proposal. However, that individual may be a co-author/presenter on
multiple poster proposals and may participate in multiple symposia.
