The conference will accept proposed contributions in different categories:
Individual presentations, oral or poster. Individual presentations of research projects or reports of activities/initiatives in any area related to the learning and teaching of psychology may be proposed.
Symposia Symposia covering a theme in any area related to the learning and teaching of psychology may be proposed. Each symposium can be 60- 90 minutes, allowing a maximum of 4 individual presentations.
Roundtable or Panel Discussions Roundtable discussions on any topic related to the theme lasting either 60 or 75 minutes may be proposed. Proposals for Panels may have up to 4 panellists and a chair.
Workshop. A workshop covering a theme in any area related to the learning and teaching of psychology may be proposed. Each workshop can be 60- 90 minutes. The facilitator can help the participants get hands-on experience or skills related to teaching methods or assessment.
Conversation Session Participants can share Best Practices in Teaching, Learning and Assessment. Ten minutes are given per speaker where teachers can share one method they used in their classrooms or curriculum.
Meet and Learn. A session in which a presenter at each table shares a topic in advance. Then, attendees can choose which table to join, and the presenter leads an informal discussion. The presenters would have to provide central questions they would like to discuss in their abstract.
Interactive Teaching Demos: These are brief presentations (10-15 minutes) of engaging activities that can be demonstrated from one of your classes. Presenters show one of their favourite class demonstrations where the participants become the students.
WWW (What Works Well) in my class: An excellent opportunity for teachers to share one of their best teaching tips, assessment ideas, or class activities. This would be sharing experiences for a maximum of 5 minutes per presenter; no demo is expected. Presenters can submit a proposal individually or in groups of 4-5 members. For example, you may present best practices in teaching social psychology where you share one idea to teach about stereotypes, or you may present best practices in teaching psychology of your department where you as a team present some unique ways that you and your colleagues have adopted in teaching psychology.
